What I Learned
Building my author brand taught me to think about how other people experience my work before I ever have the opportunity to meet them. Every photograph, page, message, and piece of content communicates something.
I learned to make intentional choices about how I present my ideas while making sure the brand still feels like me.

Impact
My Voice → Developing an Authentic Voice & Message
My Leadership → Taking Ownership of How I Share My Work
My Impact → Building an Author Identity That Reflects Who I Am & What I Stand For
More than publishing a book..... it's learning how to build a professional presence around my voice, story, and purpose.
After becoming a published author at 16, I began learning what it meant to build a professional identity around my work. I wanted my author brand to reflect not only my book, but also who I am as a student, communicator, leader, and young woman finding her voice.
I developed an author presence that connected my story across photography, digital media, promotional materials, social media, and my personal website. Along the way, I learned that branding is more than a logo, colors, or a photograph. It is about communicating who you are, what you represent, and why your work matters.
Building the Leigha Samuel brand challenged me to think intentionally about my audience, message, visual identity, and how I wanted to present myself publicly as a young author. What began with a book grew into a platform for sharing my voice and connecting my interests in storytelling, communication, leadership, and confidence.
