As a Vacation Bible School (VBS) Group Leader at First Baptist Church, I helped lead and support groups of children throughout the summer program. I guided participants through daily activities, helped keep the group organized and engaged, encouraged participation, and worked alongside other leaders and volunteers to create a welcoming and positive experience for the children.
Serving in this role over multiple summers gave me the opportunity to grow as a leader while working with children of different ages and personalities. I learned how to communicate clearly, be patient, take responsibility for others, and help children feel included and comfortable participating. Each summer strengthened my ability to lead by serving, encouraging, and setting a positive example.
