The Model Atlanta Regional Commission (MARC) Regional Leadership Initiative expanded my understanding of what it means to lead in an interconnected world. Selected as 1 of 3 from Cherokee County, GA, I collaborated with student leaders from across the 11 counties in the Atlanta metropolitan region. I explored complex challenges impacting our communities, including housing, transportation, sustainability, and regional growth. Through meaningful discussions, hands-on experiences, and collaborative problem-solving, I developed a deeper appreciation for civic engagement, servant leadership, and the importance of creating innovative solutions that benefit future generations. This experience strengthened my ability to listen, lead, and work alongside others to make a lasting impact.
